Great successes in every corner

Writer: Hoekema FamilyHoekema Family

This week we celebrate each and every success as we delve into the art of waiting and the love of living. Small blooms, training accomplishments, energy balancing, and yes puppy championship titles! One of Leia's pups just took home National, International and Honors puppy titles this past weekend. So tickled beyond pink for this accomplishment of this little girl. She did amazing and slammed dunked the whole weekend. Her owner and handler Kelli McColloch over at lol Goldens now has 2 of my pups in her program, this darling Girl Bonnie and then a male, Clyde, who will hopefully take over as the shining stud boy for her pack. It has been amazing to work with her and I look forward to seeing her program take a new direction with these darling little cream puffs. Love to hear all and any successes from each and every one of my pups. Since Meiko will be retiring after this upcoming litter, it is a great honor to have Kelli continue on her lineage with this gorgeous Meiko boy in her program.

I heard from many other families this week as well just checking in to say hello, which was incredibly sweet. Locally and not so locally (AZ & CO) all pups are doing amazing and having great successes of their own. Gaining confidence, conquering the 'talking buttons' (GO Tofu!) loving trail time in AZ, looking beautiful in CO, kick'n back in Langley and soaking up the beach and 'killing bubbles' with tiny humans at Friday Harbor. I appreciate every one of my puppy families that stays in contact with me as not only is it vital that I follow the growth, health and well being my of pups but I love seeing these beautiful pups grow into their fullest potential that I see so early on.

Thank you to all who got in touch with me about this summers reunion letting me know how excited and eager they were to attend this upcoming summers event and asking if they could bring anything special. Come with your bandanas sporting, your swim trunks on, snacks to keep up with your brothers and sisters and nothing else but your presence is kindly requested. It would simply be an honor just to see as many of you who are able to attend this yearly grand event. I am hoping for a swimming amount of white to fill our sea this year with as many Hoekema pups as possible. I would love to see you there if you can make it!

Celebrating each of our little successes and wonderful moments around here as we work on our art of waiting and loving life. Leia and her completely goofy 'bad ear days' and her love for 'dying' constantly. These 3 'dying' photos are all on different days. Silly girl.

Celebrating a good butt. It's always something to marvel over with these dogs!

Loving life with this little darling baby who is growing up way too quickly. 5 mths. now and 42 lbs. of pure joy, entertainment and endless sweetness. She has picked up the love of the little fire hydrant just like her mama which is beyond priceless.

The heightened energy around here continues to be nutty which leads to Tonka being separated a bit here and there just so he doesn't annoy the girls to no end with his perfect assessments. He is truly the best boy...the best dog I've ever had the privilege of owning. His demeanor shines bright in his pups so far and I simply can not wait to pass more Tonk's onto upcoming eagerly awaiting families.

Celebrating beauty in the spring blooms of course and the endless moisture (trying SO hard not to complain!) Loving lovely Isla and Neema's HEAD! Ha the things I drool over!

Absolutely celebrating the successful moment I am able to get all 6 dogs into one frame especially not in a blur of speeding whiteout. I am going to try to get a posed photo of all of them very soon when the weather turns nice again. Not sure how that is going to go. To get a pack of goldens to have a successful sit and stay all together is a feat and a half! Stay tuned for that photo!

As Meiko continues to follow the beat of her own drum, I continue to plan for what's ahead for me here in my program. Neema and Anya continue their health testing after June of this year so I am crossing my fingers the stars will align for both for them and everything goes as I have planned for their futures ahead. Both girls are growing up spectacular and I'm very pleased at how their structure is turning out and their personalities are shining. June should also be the month for Isla and Leia to shift into their next chapters to jump into mama land again. Oh the bustle and hustle is very real around here all the time to different degrees, if not front and center, definitely behind the scenes. I welcome it all with open arms. So as we celebrate beautiful moments, love life and continue to get better at the art of waiting we all send you all our best wishes for happy, healthy days ahead!
