Heading into a brand New Year

As the New Year is almost upon us I reflect back on every moment from this past year and I am immensely grateful for it all. For every family that gave me the opportunity to help get them their newest addition to their family. For every moment that challenged me but made me stronger. For every situation that was incredible difficult to go through but gave me a higher appreciation for life. For every challenging story that I worked through but found a way to find the positive in each one. For every fur ball that balanced me daily and taught me to stay in the moment. For every dear friend that checked in on me on a regular basis to make sure I wasn't drowning in fur! and to my family who supported me through this year of all the highs, lows and in betweenies.

I am grateful for it all and appreciate every moment that I 'GOT TO' go through.

Updated photos still pour in from the 'Plant', 'Toy' & 'Luxury' pups. Each on their own journey of figuring out how to successfully raise a new pup. Each being challenged with something but changing routines quickly to hopefully get back on track soon. WAY harder than anyone anticipated but also way more love has been taken in then anyone thought possible. I reach out often to offer ideas, guidance and help in anyway that I possible can. But one thing that they all have in common, everyone is head over heels in love with their new little ones. LOVING the new names that were given to all these pups! Tonka Jr. became Kanto, Marc is now Sitka, Monstera is Bear, Play-Doh is Dug, Armani is now Huckleberry and now my all time most favorite...Hermes originally got the name Buck but soon it turned into BUCKET!!! SO cute!

I adore seeing the established family dogs take to the new pups like they have always belonged. The smiles on the pups faces as they sink into their new abodes. The joy that is shared in the updates is absolutely without a doubt priceless beyond what I had hoped. All these life changing stories that come in make me fall in love with what I do even more everyday. "How do I let all these sweet pups go?" is the most common question I get. They were never mine. They were only gifted to me for a short moment in time and I have been blessed to have the opportunity to raise them to change lives. To fill hearts. To heal souls and to get that extra fur into homes once again.

They grow before your eyes and toe beans get larger, eyes get brighter and more aware and connections get stronger. Before you can blink they are full grown dogs also sending me updates throughout this miraculous Holiday Season. Thank you to all!

I am thoroughly enjoying my own dogs here and watching them figure out their own new dynamics with adding little (big) Anya to the mix. Tonka teaches her how to chew up all the sticks that get blown in from the endless wind storms around here. Neema teaches her how to play with toys. Meiko teaches Neema that Anya is not a chew toy and tells her to play more gently constantly. Anya figures out where she can put herself within the mix and where and when it's best just to ask to be picked up and snuggled.

It's incredible to watch as each of them have their own roles and teach each other something new all the time. Tonka has given up his rough housing role somewhat and taken up to be the head of the pack quiet observer. He seems to enjoy his new role and probably is perfectly fine with letting Neema chew on Anya for a change instead of him. He still does rod around the yard with the other dogs but is letting the young'uns romp and play a bit more recently.

Anya is picking up everything and anything I ask of her. She is sweet, calm, not mouthy, aware and tuned in. She has slept quietly in her crate during naps and nighttime from day 1. She is learning to go into and stay quietly in place in her open door crate until her food arrives. 'Place' training is also going really well. The raised container works great for the starting place of this command. She has been nothing short of perfection as an addition to our pack here.

For now I enjoy some extra time with my family and my own dogs. I get my Christmas things put away, even though this year not much decorating took place for serious lack of time! I look ahead to what the new year will bring and I am looking forward to it all.

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE!!!!
