SNOW for doggies!

There's nothing quite as fun as the first snowfall of the year. Whether you are a child, a giddy adult, a grown dog or a wee pup. Snow is fun and exciting and wonderful and grand no matter who or what you are. It came down in sheets on and off for the past 2 days and the dogs thought they were in heaven. It was just enough for them to play in, romp around in, eat plenty of and have a whole tunnel buffet of to munch back. Snowballs were thrown up into the air and Isla and Meiko were my champs at that game. Leia and Tonka would eat endless snowballs that I fed to them and Anya and Neema were just dropping their jaws and plowing!

The snow scrunched up Tonka's curls and they came out in their fullest intense glory.

An absolutely gorgeous coat on this boy that this snow just magnified.

At the break of dawn when we hit the snow yesterday nobody wanted to go inside for breakfast like they normally do. Everyone just awe struck. Anya say upon her short stump and took in the magic of the morning. Later Tonk sat in his own 'awe' moment and took in the day as if he knew it wasn't going to last very long. The snow has stuck around today so I'm sure it will stay for awhile especially with the cold temps coming in. Noses gets waxed constantly in this dry air and heaters get turned up. The joy that is plastered across these dogs faces is simply priceless. It's the best way to wake up, snow or no snow really.

Earlier in the week we were graced with some warm moments that the dogs basked in and everyone played to their hearts content. Anya past her 14 wk. mark and is thick gorgeous and proud. Puppyhood doesn't last long enough.

Plenty of fun was had this week with many hours spent on the buggy rope and trying to act down right ferocious. Everyone gets along like 6 peas in a pod and like always I love watching the dynamics of them all.

Everyone has a special place in their heart for Anya. Tonk of course let's her snuggle with him whenever she needs to check out. He's the sweetest boy I could have ever asked for and as for Anya she's just as calm and laid back as he was as a pup. I saw this in her personality from really early on as I raised her and it was very apparent to me that it was her who was going to stay with us here.

Tonka got lucky this week and had 2 dates come in. All smiles for this boy. It's not very common that I can get close to him to take his picture without him trying to crawl up into my lap. I think the sun was captivating (and distracting) in this moment that I was able to capture some beautiful photos of him here.

Neema is a full blown teenager, moving full tilt wherever she goes, trying to engage with whoever she is passing. Isla love bugs me at every chance she can get asking me always what she can do for me now. Leia sits at my feet contently and quietly being her sweet self. Meiko is always leaning on my leg until the energy bubble becomes too edgy at which time she chooses to queen up on top of her spool. She has her moments of romp times with the pack but she's very content to just lean or put her face up into the sunshine, soak it up, zen out and meditate.

As we look into the week ahead and the daunting colder yet temps ahead we all send our very best well wishes your way. Stay safe and warm everyone. Wax noses and tootsies, dry off frequently, crank up your heaters, stay home and snuggle with your fur babies if you can and in the moments of sunshine that grace us mid day, put your face up into the sun and meditate just a wee bit longer cause who doesn't want to be just like Meiko.
